Is Adreno 405 better than Adreno 330?

Just curious if adreno 405 that comes with snapdragon 615 in midrange phones is better than adreno 330? Sounds like its better if one goes by naming convention. But it would be complete cheating with people who are buying high end devices only to get not the best GPU.
What do you think?

 

i would assume it'd not be better, i'd say it'd be a bit lower than adreno 320, as the adreno 305 was compared to the 2xx series.

The #0# series is always inferior to ##0 series also 400 series is 64bit processor gpus
I think so its got to do with number of gpu cores, like even if you have a powerful gpu, being single cored is insufficient.

Thought it did, since the page provides a link to the actual soc in which it is embedded. My mistake.

The 4 in the name is because it's from the newer generation. It's the follow-up to the 305. The 330 is much better and the 320 probably too. The 405 is the mid-ranger in the 400 series, the 330 is the high-end one in the 300 series. That's what I think and it seems logical. Correct me if I'm wrong

see benchmarks and read about microprocessors and soc either on qualcomm website or any other website ( there are tons of it once you start searching)....
i know about soc hence i posted that.... you may go and read it ... its fun and very interesting stuff out there

Snapdragon 615 should offer a performance similar to that of the older Snapdragon 600(Krait architecture).
Performance should be significantly above the former Adreno 305 (Snapdragon 400).
